*************************************************************************

Many Weimar College alumni have left Weimar to serve in the Lord’s work in various capacities. Whether as pastors, evangelists, teachers, professors, doctors, nurses, missionaries, or other professions, they have each had an experience that was impacted by their time at Weimar.

We are looking forward to cultivating a closer relationship with our alumni. If you have updated contact information for yourself or for fellow alumni, please call the office at 530.637.4111 ext. 7715 or email collegeoffice@weimar.org. You can also join Doug Garcia’s “unofficial” alumni group at www.douggarcia.com/weimar/.

Each month we will be featuring a different alumnus on our alumni homepage. To be featured, please send us a brief (150-200 word) bio, along with a digital picture. You can email the bio and photo to collegeoffice@weimar.org.

"Weimar College had a major impact on who I am today. The classes, outreach, R&R weekends, and most importantly: my friends. I clearly saw God bringing me here and it was here that I found Him in a real way.

I graduated with my first Bachelor of Arts in English Language in 2003 (I was the second graduate from the new program), then received my second Bachelors in Religious Ministry in 2006.

My most memorable experience would have to be choir tours, under the direction of Seth Lucas and Mrs. B. and specifically at the Maranatha Prison and Forestlawn Memorial Park.

I now work at Weimar as the registrar (thank you Mrs. Vis for recruiting me to work in the registrar’s office my freshman year!) and I love what I do. If you call to request a transcript, you’ll probably talk to me on the phone.

My hobbies include reading, writing, spending time with friends, community service, and gourmet vegan cooking. I plan to pursue an MA in Professional Counseling and write a number of books one day. My motto: change the world. . .one life at a time.”

-Maria Lombart, Weimar College Alumna, 2003, 2006.
