Outreach is an important part of Weimar College’s program. Our students participate in weekly outreaches to the community. The outreach may take the form of passing out literature door to door, sharing music, presenting health education, and many more activities. Our close connection with the Amazing Facts College of Evangelism (AFCOE) on our campus makes evangelism a focal point of our campus. Our purpose is to train students who will go out and present the gospel in hospitals, churches, schools, and on the streets. Training for these important tasks is not left for the future. Everyday is a chance to become a more effective soul winner.

Evangelism/Outreach
Mission Trips
Ever since Weimar College was founded in 1978, missions have been a big part of college life. Nearly every year students and faculty have ventured off campus to share the Gospel. Recent mission trips have included: a choir tour of Taiwan, a preaching trip to Lithuania, helping in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, and evangelism in central Africa. Every year, faculty and students find their own spiritual lives energized as they move out of their comfort zones to share Christ with unreached people.
Spiritual Life
Weimar College is committed to helping you grow in your knowledge of God. We seek to uphold Christ in every course. From Daniel and Revelation to Zoology to General Chemistry, we strive to make a knowledge of God the unifying theme.
Spiritual programs on campus offer a chance for faculty and staff to grow together. Each semester begins with a convocation; a time to focus on our reason for being here before diving into classes. The semester also features a week of prayer as well as weekly vespers, opportunities for outreach, and space for personal and small group worship. Dorm life frequently features informal Bible studies and spiritual interaction with fellow students.
All of these programs are designed with the purpose of helping you to know and love Jesus more. It is only by knowing Him that we can be effective in service for Him.
Campus Life
Campus life at Weimar College offers a unique blend of spiritual fellowship, academic camaraderie and opportunities for personal growth. A typical day will include the college usuals of classes, friends, food, fun and work, but all in the context of developing a deeper walk with God. You’ll be blessed by classes anchored in God’s Word and teachers who care about your spiritual growth. You’ll enjoy outings with godly friends to the nearby rivers or ski resorts. You’ll form life-long friendships while you relish healthy vegan food in the cafeteria. You’ll work alongside teachers and work supervisors dedicated to helping you develop practical skills you can use throughout life. And you’ll learn to share Christ in our regular outreach and evangelism opportunities.
Our alumni often speak of the great experience they had as students here. They cherish fond memories of hiking the trails, study sessions in the college lobby, and giving Bible studies. The life-long friendships formed are a keynote of many of their memories. And many tell of spiritual growth and Biblical grounding that has formed a foundation for all their subsequent endeavors for the Lord.

We invite you to come and experience what campus life can be when Christ is the center and everything revolves around Him.
Recreation
Opportunity for outdoor activities is abundant. Without even leaving the campus you have access to miles of trails that wind through the school’s acres of forest and meadows. Weimar College is within easy distance of both the American and Bear rivers with many other lakes and streams in the vicinity, making swimming, whitewater rafting, and other water sports very popular during the warm months between late spring and early fall. The nearby Tahoe National Forest not only boasts incredible scenery, but also excellent backpacking, camping, and rock climbing opportunities. Boreal Ski Resort is only 45 minutes away – which often has the longest ski season of any resort in the US – and offers affordable day and night skiing/snowboarding. The world-renowned ski resorts of Lake Tahoe are within an hour and a half drive.
Student Life
We are serious about our purpose but we also have a lot of fun. Because of our small size, the student body and faculty find it easy to become acquainted with each other and become a close-knit family over the course of the school year. Students find opportunities to bond through the many special events such as the rest & relaxation weekend camping trips to Point Reyes and Yosemite, agape feasts, and vespers at the firebowl, to name a few.
R & R
Each semester, Weimar College takes a long weekend for R & R. This is a special time when students and staff break away from the daily routine of academic life to seek a closer connection with God in nature.
These weekends often include the beauty of the California Coast or the majestic wonder of redwoods and waterfalls. Whether the location is Point Reyes National Seashore or Yosemite National Park, Giant Sequoia and Redwood forests or Camp Wawona in Yosemite National Park, the change of pace is refreshing for the mind, body, and soul.
Historically, the Yosemite R & R’s have been provided in cooperation with the Volunteer In Parks Program. This arrangement has given us opportunity to enjoy the awesome grandeur of Yosemite while giving back to the park through special work projects.
Camping, hiking, sharing, singing, worships and so much more await you on each R & R weekend.
