Student Life
Weimar College is all about RE-creation of the mind, body and spirit. Because of our small size, the student body finds it easy to become acquainted with each other and become close-knit family over the course of the school year. Students find opportunities to bond through the many special events such as the rest & relaxation weekend camping trips to Point Reyes and Yosemite, agape feasts, and vespers at the firebowl, to name a few. Witnessing and outreach are also recreational sports around here.
Ourdoor activities in the surrounding area are also abundant. Weimar College is within easy distance of both the American and Bear rivers with many other lakes and streams in the vicinity, making swimming, whitewater rafting, and other water sports very popular during the warm months between late spring and early fall. The nearby Tahoe National Forest not only boasts incredible scenery, but also excellent backpacking, camping, and rock climbing opportunities. Boreal Ski Resort is only 45 minutes away - which often has the longest ski season of any resort in the US - offers affordable day and night skiing/snowboarding. Also the world-renowned ski resorts of Lake Tahoe are within an hour and a half drive.
